Dr Nicola Tallis has a first class BA (Hons) in History from Bath Spa University, and an MA in Public History from Royal Holloway College, University of London. Her PhD thesis investigated the jewellery collections of the queens of England between 1445 and 1548. Nicola has been passionate about English history all of her life, and has worked as a lecturer and historical researcher. She also worked as the Curator at Sudeley Castle, and featured prominently on BBC’s Countryfile in April 2013, guiding at Sudeley. She is currently the resident historian for Alison Weir Tours. Nicola’s debut, Crown of Blood: The Deadly Inheritance of Lady Jane Grey, was published in November 2016, and is the result of five years of research on the Grey family. Her followup, Elizabeth’s Rival: The Tumultuous Tale of Lettice Knollys, Countess of Leicester, was published in November 2017, and her third book is Uncrowned Queen: The Tumultuous Life of Margaret Beaufort, Tudor Rebel, published in November 2019.
