Natasha Holmes

Natasha left her northern beginnings to study English at King’s College, London, graduating in 1994. After eleven years of London life, experimenting with many different forms of theatre and co-founding the international touring theatre company, Tell Tale Hearts, she moved back up north to settle in Penistone. She has two children and lives within a stone’s throw of the Trans Pennine Trail which cuts through some beautiful landscapes.

Natasha still loves to play and make up stories, although nowadays she plays more with words than puppets. She is passionate about nurturing children’s creativity and exploring the world through children’s eyes. She has specialised in researching both book and play ideas with children, developing their input into the creative process. Given this track record, it’s not surprising that Natasha writes mainly for children and young people and enjoys experimenting with magical realism and fantasy. Her latest book, The Changeling, for upper middle grade is currently in development.
