Connie Kitson

Connie Kitson grew up in the leafy, hayfever-inducing countryside of Warwickshire, and is relieved to now call London home. She holds a BA in English Language & Linguistics from Brighton University and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.

Connie has always been drawn to writing in one form or another. At eighteen, she blogged her way through a year as an au pair in Paris, capturing the ‘unique’ (read: chaotic) art of keeping three pre-teen girls and a hostile Bichon-Frisé alive – all while exploring the City of Lights. After university, she wrote editorial features for various print publications and a luxury lifestyle website, later transitioning into digital marketing. There, she worked closely with app developers and digital designers, translating technical jargon into language people could actually understand – a skill that helped spark the idea for her first novel. Each chapter of her varied writing journey has shaped her humorous writing style, setting the stage for her next creative leap.

Her love for romance novels and films – the meet-cutes, the raw emotions, and those fuzzy feelings – has inspired her to explore love’s ups and downs in her own writing. When she’s not hunched over her laptop, Connie enjoys city breaks, hitting the ski slopes (mostly for the hot chocolate), and can usually be found ‘pspsps’-ing at any cat in sight.
