Sara Haydon

Sara Haydon is an author and advocate for slow, intentional living. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, she spent years working in the mental health field and offender rehabilitation before turning her focus to writing and supporting others on their journeys of inner transformation.

Her debut book, Winter Magic: A Witch’s Yule (Atlantic Books, 2024), explored the intersection of nature, seasonal living and personal spirituality, earning praise for its intelligent exploration, emotional depth and ability to make ancient traditions feel relevant to contemporary life.

She is most often found writing from her cabin in the Finnish woods or wandering the English countryside with her young family. She lives for soft seasons, slow mornings and coffee-stained pages – moments she shares on her much-loved Instagram platform, @hawthornhollows. There, she has built a thriving community of everyday magic-seekers, with her content reaching over 100,000 viewers each month.
