Jack Mackay is a writer, theatre-maker and horror enthusiast. His Carnegie-nominated debut novel, GLOAM, a horror story for children, won The Week Junior Breakthrough Award and was shortlisted for multiple regional awards. Though you can usually find him sneaking about the snickelways of York, his heart is in the Midlands, in his grandparents’ creaky old house where he grew up. While at university, he co-founded Griffonage Theatre, a York-based company with a taste for the madcap and macabre. He loves his family, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and K-pop.
