Dr Elliott Carthy

Dr Elliott Carthy is a doctor who specialises in forensic psychiatry, which entails diagnosing and treating mental illness in people interfacing with the criminal justice system, as well as providing psychiatric expertise to the Courts. He started his YouTube channel (@drelliottcarthy) and Substack (@doctorelliott) to fill a gap in evidence-based educational content on mental health using a variety of creative formats. He is also passionate about LGBTQ+ healthcare and supporting the mental health of clinicians and those in caring professions at high risk of burnout. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Elliott Carthy is undertaking an MSc in Translational Health Sciences at the University of Oxford.
