#watsonlittleprize – Watson, Little staff make their upmarket fiction choices

Tuesday 22nd June 2021

In celebration of the agency’s 50th anniversary, we are delighted to launch the Watson, Little Prize. The prize is international, genre-specific, and in this inaugural edition of the prize it is dedicated to writers over 50 years of age. It aims to encourage those from older generations, from all backgrounds and from all nations and cultures, to apply.

The prize is also genre-specific, and the 2021 prize will focus on upmarket fiction. You may be wondering, what is ‘upmarket fiction’? What does it mean?

We’ve asked members of Watson, Little staff to help by offering some favourites in the category, while explaining a bit about why they love these and how they fit in the genre. We will be adding to these over the coming days, so please do check back in to see more!

If you’re interested in finding out our favourites, or just looking for inspiration, do check out the below links!

And finally, if you’d like to enter the prize, please find terms and conditions and how to enter at this link.
