Michael Taylor’s THE INTEREST: How the British Establishment Resisted the Abolition of Slavery (The Bodley Head) has been longlisted for The Orwell Prize for Political Writing.
THE INTEREST has received rave reviews across the board, including The Times (‘Fascinating … riveting and first-rate’), Guardian (‘Scintillating … gripping … compulsively readable’), and it was one of the Daily Telegraph‘s Books of 2020.
