Karl first took drawing seriously while keeping a visual diary on a long military exercise in Kenya, 2008. As soon as he got back to the UK he signed off from the army, started reading lots of books and got to work on creating a portfolio. In 2013 he gained a First Class illustration degree in Bristol.

Post graduation he made a living selling his work at markets, framed prints, originals, T-shirts and suchlike. Garnering a steady stream of commissions, treading the boards for a few years, before getting long term work as an illustrator for a disability awareness charity. From there he steadily build up his client base, showing specialities in creating fun, detailed maps and intricate instructional images.

Clients include The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), The National Trust, The Green Party, Oxford University and Cambridge University.

He lives in the Usk Vale in South Wales with his fiance and son. Karl loves drawing, he also likes music, cross country running, coffee, books, comic books, films . . . and all the usual stuff.
