Kim Curran is an author and creative director based in London. She was nominated for the Sydney J Bounds, Best Newcomer Award, 2012, and her short story, A WOMAN OUT OF TIME, was selected for the Tiptree Award Honor List, 2014. In addition to her fiction she has worked as an advertising copywriter for 20 years. Specialising in youth marketing she’s worked for some of the world’s largest brands and charities, from EA to UNICEF, and spends her life viewing the world through young people’s eyes.
She frequently runs workshops and delivers lectures on writing at schools and universities and is a popular guest at literary events and conventions. Her greatest achievement was when Tom Baker of Doctor Who fame said a script she wrote was funny. He was being paid.
She lives in London with her husband and appears to be the only writer she knows who doesn’t own a cat.
